The largest carnival for babies and young children
Thank you for being a part of the Rise & Shine Carnival at The Lawn on Saturday, March 3rd. With your help, we have set the record for the largest breakfast picnic turnout in the Singapore Book of Records!
Over 1,900 people turned up for the event at 8AM on a lovely Sunday morning and by 8:30AM, The Lawn was already filled with excited children and their families.
Dr Amy Khor, who graced the Carnival, joined 1,341 parents and children at The Lawn as the Certificate for breaking the record of the largest breakfast picnic turnout was given out to representatives of the organisers, Joan Ong and Wilson Ng.
Dr Khor addressed the crowd briefly and touched on the importance of starting each day with a healthy meal, that a healthy lifestyle also includes good physical, mental and emotional health and reminded us that for children to have a healthy lifestyle, they must start from within the family.
The importance of having breakfast was demonstrated in “Baby Baby’s Bear Breakfast”, a theatre performance put up by the Breakfast Team. Kids loved the performance and many even went up on stage to dance with the Bear Family.
The Philips AVENT Yummy Mummy, Yummy Baby contest saw eight beautiful mummies and adorable babies on stage. The competition was tough and it eventually came down to two participants – Simran Parwani and Joyann Liau. It was Joyann who eventually walked away with the grand prize worth over $500!
Meanwhile, the children were all having fun at the bouncy castles,
and our stilt wakers and mascots.
We hope you and your family had fun at the Carnival on March 3rd. See you at the Rise & Shine Expo in September!
